Because Natalie always posts her "Top Ten" for every one's birthday I thought I would sneak into her blog and let her know the top ten reasons I look at her and smile everyday...
10. Her cleanliness... I do have to admit this is something I consider a love hate. She can be a bit much when it comes to cleanliness, but I have grown fond of how hard she works at it. I can tell you one thing, I always feel good coming home to a clean house... if I can just get her to relax a little bit about it now...
9. Her Laugh... When Natalie lets loose and laughs it can be so contagious. She is such a playful and happy person. I look forward to the years we will share together laughing with each other.
8. Her Beauty... Natalie is by far the most beautiful lady I have ever laid my eyes on. I can only hope that our kids get their mom's looks.
7. Her inside Beauty... As beautiful as Natalie is, the beauty that she has inside far out passes the outside. I have never met a more caring, loving, and personal person in my life. Being around Natalie makes you want to be a better person.
6. Her Heart... an example is the best way to explain this. Natalie has worked on Blake's Purpose for 3 years now. She spends countless hours every year for a child that was never given a fair chance. She gets nothing out of it for herself and she has never asked for anything from it. Blake is a friends child, yet she goes at this as if it were her own, for one reason, and one reason only, she believes she is making a difference in Blake's life and other children's lives like him. If that is not a big heart I don't know what is.
5. Her Simplicity... Clothing aside, Natalie is a Yuba City girl and even the simple things can make her happy.
4. Her Unselfishness... Natalie will always give up something of herself for another person. I once read that the true test of a person is what they will do when nobody is looking and Natalie has always given of herself no matter if that person will know or never find out.
3. Her devotion to Family... The thing that has always worked with Natalie and I is our devotion to family. Family will always be on the top of everything Natalie does. If my family is in town she is the first person to invite everyone over and cook dinner. She will go to Yuba and sit with her grandmother for hours, just to talk to her. She even said the one person she couldn't look at when she got married was her dad or she would cry (from the stories I hear, I bet both her and Pete would have never thought that when she was in high school).
2. She is my Rock... Every time I feel down, frustrated, upset, unsure, wondering if the world is against me, Natalie is there for me to lean on. She is my rock, she holds me together through thick and thin. I could not be doing the things I am doing today if she was not in my life.
1. She said Yes... Just about 1 year ago Natalie said "yes" while we were in Sea Ranch to our wedding vows. I will always think of that day as the day I became the luckiest man alive!
