My mom has taught me a lot of really wonderful lessons in life, but one of the best things lessons that I ever learned from her was the true value of friendship. I love my girlfriends to pieces and am so grateful for all of their friendships that enrich my life in so many different ways. I consider myself a lucky lady to have the opportunity to share this life with so many wonderful women.
I say this in part because yesterday was Charity's baby shower and I was so happy and honored to be a part of such a fun day. It never ceases to amaze me how much energy and life comes to a room when women gather around a friend to celebrate in her joy; it's times like these that make me feel so full of happiness.

One friend will meet your spiritual need,

Another your shoe fetish,
Another your love for movies,
Another will be with you in your season of confusion,
Another will be your clarifier,

But whatever their assignment in your life,

Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself .
Those are your best friends.
